Gilda Razani - saxophone
- studied saxophone at music college Dortmund, member of the "Youth Jazz Orchestra NRW" and "Monday Night Orchestra Ruhr". Her own band projects include: "Gilda Razani - Hans Wanning Duo" (1996), "Gilda Razani Quintet" (1997, Swing Beats Festival 1999), "Sub.vision" (2000, concerts in Germany, Italy, Poland, Lithuania), "Sub.vision II" (2002), collaborations with comedians (Lioba Albus, Martin Risse) and theatre productions ("Bella, Bulli und Bosse", Theatre Dortmund 1997, "Geierabend" since 1996) Numerous CD releases, i.e. Gilda Razani - Hans Wanning Duo - "live; "Merhaba" (2002), "Sub.vision" - "Bazaar" (Traumtonrecords 2005). |

- born in the Sauerland, she began making music aged 6, fell in love with the saxophone aged 14, later flute, vocals and percussion. Since 1985 musical activities with various orchestras, ensembles, bands etc., "Westfalen Winds", "Chameleon Saxophone Quartet". Tours in Germany and Europe, recordings. 2001 - 2004 living and working in GB. Bands: "Orchestre Ruffanti", "Hotel Brown" and others. Music workshops in South Yorkshire. Since 2004 member of the "Transorient Orchestra". |

Marcin Langer - saxophone, flute
- born in Bytom / Poland. 1972 first band experiences. Played with rock theatre group "Kamikaze-Orkester 1978 - 80. Studied music at the university Duisburg 1981 - 1986. 1987 - 1990 member of world music group Köprü. Founded the "Pindakaas Saxophon Quartett" in 1990 - several CD-releases with this quartet (Voyage, Dialog, Brause, Pindakaas-Live), worked as a studio musician for various productions. Winner of the Kulturpreis 1996 at International masterclass "chamber music with saxophones in Unna. Concerts in Germany and Europe. |

Maksim Diagilew - saxophone
- born in Vitebsk/ White Russia, studied classical saxophone at the Music Conservatoire Minsk from 1996 until 2001, was the featured soloist with the symphonic wind band Minsk Wind and Brass Sonics and with the State Opera Theatre Minsk. He was also a member of the Minsk Saxophone Ensemble. From 2002 to 2005 he studied at the Music Conservatoire Dortmund and at the Folkwang Hochschule Essen. As well as playing with classical ensembles he also plays with jazz and pop bands. |

- born in Wesel / Germany. Has been playing ney, zurna and kavala since the age of 14. Frequent travels and studies in Turkey. Played and recorded with numerous world music projects. Played with artists as Sümer Ezgü, Nuray Hafiftas, Orhan Hakalmaz, Müslüm Gürses and others. Played concerts in Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, France and the Netherlands. Plays turkish ethno jazz with his own band breeze of anatolia. |

- born in Tunisia, studied classical and oriental music in Tunis, followed by working as music teacher, played in various orchestras and ensembles in Tunisia, played at many international festivals (i.e. Karthago, Tabarka, Jordan, France).
Leads also his own band "Kleopatra". |

Freya Deiting - violin
- has studied classical violin at the conservatory in Dortmund and Düsseldorf, is solo violinist of the "Salonorchestra Münster" and has played in different classical ensembles, such as the "Trio Melosodad" (CD Fruehlingsspiele 2005), has played traditional Irish music, Klezmer and musicals, and is currently preparing her solo program World Violin Art. |

Ludger Schmidt - cello
- After many years as a bass player in Dortmund- or Bochum-based rock bands, he studied cello at the Detmold Conservatory. He never wanted to be a classical cello player, was always more interested in Jazz and non-european music. Radio and CD recordings including Eckard Koltermann, "Collage 11", Barre Philips, Willem van Manen, Theo Jörgensmann, Paul Lovens, Misha Mengelberg, Lauren Newton, Petras Vyshniauskas and "Ensemble Draj". |

First contact with free improvisation in different projects with the Missus-Beastly-Co-Founder and guitarist R. A. Wehmeyer. Since 1995, member of the Munich-based worldmusic group "Embryo", led by Christian Burchard. Intense contact with non-european/non-western music, especially oriental music. In 1997, joins
the group "Maqam", founded by guitarist and oud-player Yulyus Golombeck, who left us in 2000. 2000 composition and recording for the film Summer Suite by the Italian director Fabio Magnifico. 2002 musician and co-composer for the dance/video-project "Orientation", since 2003 member of "Nefes in Motion". Since 2005 afro-oriental project "Kleopatra" and since 2006 member of the "Ertugrul Coruk Quartet". |

Stefan Lakatos - trimba
Stefan Lakatos, Swedish artist and musician, was a close friend and student of the blind American composer Moondog (Louis Hardin). Moondog taught Stefan about the construction and playing of the Trimba, his most important and self developed percussion instrument. They've been working together on various projects, concerts and recordings (first LP Moondog Bracelli, Sweden, 1986). Since Moondog's death in 1999 Stefan Lakatos is now the sole exponent of the Trimba tradition. Always in search of new sounds and rhythms in the Moondog tradition Stefan has been playing in a variety of different ensembles since the late 80's. Dragon Teeth, Ton-Tons, bells, the Oo and other innovative instruments complement the unique sound and rhythm. Amongst other things Stefan Lakatos can be heard at gigs with the Bochum Ensemble Bracelli. He was a featured soloist with the Bochumer Symphonic Orchestra and in theatrical productions, and he took part in many poetry-, art- and dance events. |

Benny Mokroß - drums, percussion
- he began playing drums at the age of 5, studied at the music school in Hemer and played in numerous fusion-, jazz-, rock- and show-bands, also theatre music and classical ensembles. Two master classes for drums with Piere Favre. Studied jazz at the "Folkwang School in Essen 1988 - 1992. Now teaches at the Glen Buschmann Jazzakademie and at the university in Dortmund. Tours in England, Scotland, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Israel and the GUS. Radio and TV productions with WDR, BR, BBC, RTL, RMK, NBC Giga, Deutschlandfunk, Deutsche Welle, TRT International. Worked with many well known artists such as "Bescay", Jasper van`t Hof, Nippy Noya, Gerd Dudek, Toots Tielemanns, Gene mighty flea Connors, Laureen Newton, Gunnar Plümer, Ramesh Shotham, Paramashivam Pilai, Embryo, Peter Materna on tours and recordings and by now has played on more than 30 international CD releases i.e. Bescay - "Orientology"; "Peter Materna Quartet - "Jazz Contract"; "Aquarius"; "After the rain"; "Full moon party"; Klaus Fey & Five Secrets - "Reale & virtuelle Filmmusik"; Mark Brenken Trio - "Trio". |
